• This event is open to the public! So everyone is welcome!

• Thanks to the partnership with the Martin Heerema Entrepreneurship Program and the Pella Community Foundation… the BDG is FREE to attend!

WHAT:

• For those who are new to the BIG Dream Gathering… and you’re wondering what it’s all about… here’s a short video to give you a taste of what you’ll experience when you attend!

Here’s Kim Toogood’s big dream… in her own words:

My BIG DREAM is to become a weight-loss and life-skills Coach.

I want to help people discover the “ME” that has been hidden inside-of them by layers of fat or fear, doubt, abuse, confidence and esteem issues.
After 10 years of an extremely abusive marriage and having 3 children to care for I decided I had better “FIND ME” for them. I ended the marriage and rediscovered myself. I went back to school, built a career teaching at a local college and lost 180 lbs. I have had the weight off for 3 years. I have inspired and motivated friends and family to do the same.
Today I am healthy, happy and active with my children.  I am also engaged to an amazing man. Together we have 6 children. He encourages me everyday to “STRETCH” and reach for my dreams.

He suffers from a disease (ankylosing spondilitis or AS) that together we have figured out how to manage his pain though an eating plan we created and exercise. He has also lost 37lbs in the last year. He fully supports my passion for building people up…while taking them down a few sizes!!

Three Types of people that I think will be impacted by my BIG DREAM are:
1. Women (and men) that are in need of “finding themselves under the fat”


2. People with health issues that could be helped by reducing their weight.


3. People with confidence and self esteem issues

Bryan Engelbert recently checked in with his BIG dream and his 3 “small but significant steps” update!

Here it is… in his own words:

My Big Dream

My dream is to drop out of a helicopter on a snowboard onto back country terrain in BC.

I dream of slicing through untracked powder and hitting huge natural jumps/drops/cliffs and flying through the air.

I dream of doing this WITHIN ONE YEAR (but ideally within two months).

MY power of three SBS steps are:

-price out a two week trip
-update my gear (new bindings and boots)
-invite other dreamers to join me

How cool is that?

Who would love to do a little back country snow boarding?  Who wants to jump out of a helicopter… just to take it up a notch?

Then everyone is encouraged to go around the room to look at the other dreams posted and offer ideas, connections or an encouraging word!

We’ve had some amazing stories come from these events.

For example… at recent BDG’s we’ve had students have the opportunity to…

• get connected with their dream job at PIXAR
• get mentored by Pulitzer Prize winning photographers
• get together with other students to run marathons
• and… a whole lot more!

But in the end… the BIG Dream Gathering is simply about real people helping each other with their big dreams!

So… whether you feel like you know exactly what you’d write down… or you’re not sure if you still remember what some of your big dreams even are… the BIG Dream Gathering is for you!

We’ll all be dreaming big together!

It was an amazing crew… with some mind-blowing dreams!

Plus… since some were alumni of previous Succeed Faster events… we were able to get updates from folks on dreams fulfilled and dreams in progress.  We heard about everything from dream jobs with top companies, to the launching of companies.  We heard about marathons run and parachutes opened (thankfully!)!!

I can’t wait to see these people again at the next Succeed Faster event!

These events are truly becoming more like a family reunion… than a conference!

Keep dreaming big all!  And… keep MASHing!

But heck… who’s got time for that?
