Everything seems to be bigger in Texas... including the crowds!

We had an amazing turn out for the BIG Dream Gathering in San Angelo, Texas.

Loads of stories have already started to come out of the event.  In fact, one of the stories was from San Angelo Standard-Time’s Rick Smith.  Rick attended the BIG dream gathering in San Angelo last week and captured the essence of the gathering.

“People from a 100-or-so-mile radius of San Angelo began arriving at the center two hours before the scheduled start to write their dreams on paper and post them, anonymously, on the building’s walls.

By the time the event officially opened at 6 p.m., people were already crowded together, reading what others had written.”

My name is Jodi Olesen. I am the Founder and President of a home-based animal rescue Organization. It's called the Purrs & Puppy Breath Nursery, Inc. We are a Non Profit Organization. We specialize in infant animal rescue and rehabilitation. I've been doing this type of rescue for over 20 years. But, about 5 years ago I decided to become a "professional". 

Anyway, I just happened to stumble upon an article in today's paper (The San Angelo Standard Times) that was about tonight's event. So, I went. 

WOW!! THANK YOU so much for making this forum available to all of us! I have absolutely no expectations after posting my dream of obtaining a facility to use as a Nursery (as it is right now, I do what I do in my bedroom). But, I still have the excitement about the "what ifs" from tonight's event. 

So, again, I thank you for giving those of us, who truly have dreams that we cannot fulfill without someone else's help, a place to go and be heard. That means more to me than I can adequately express.

I don't know about you… but I'm not a huge fan of new year's resolutions.

They seem to come and go so quickly.

Case in point… it's January 3rd.  Just 3 days into 2009.  How are your new year's resolutions holding up?  Have they already been forgotten… broken… or bagged?

Well… Anthony Wilson, a reporter for the San Angelo Standard-Times Newspaper, has the right idea.

As he was writing an article about the BIG dream gathering that's coming to Texas in March, he challenged his readers to list their BIG dreams instead of their resolutions.

So… I say… WHAT IF…

What if we took that challenge? 

What if… in 2009… we started the year by thinking about our BIG dreams? 

What if… in 2009… we committed to doing more of the things we were put on the planet to do?

What if… in 2009… we committed to helping a few people on their BIG dreams?

As we are wrapping up 2008, we are starting to look towards 2009 with freakish anticipation!

There are a number of big things that will be happening, but one of things that we're most excited about is our first BIG dream gathering in Texas!

That's right!  On March 5th, we're going to be helping to launch some BIG dreams in the Lone Star State!

We're going to be partnering with the great people of TMCNto bring a BDG to San Angelo!

If you are in Texas… plan on coming over!
