How do you shift your thinking?
Have you ever had one of those things happen that could instantly put you in a bad mood?
Maybe it was something somebody said. Maybe it was bad weather on a day when you needed it to be clear. Maybe it was something that went wrong with your big dream.
Well… recently… I was hit with one of those situations that could have instantly put me in a foul mood! (Seriously… you won’t believe it.)
Here’s the story and a strategy I used to change my thinking (because I had to right away).

Big Dreams often require baby steps. Honestly I was heartbroken to have attended the Big Dream Gathering and didn’t recieve one response to my Dream….Wow that knocked me back a step and then it was pick myself up dust myself off and relook at the Big Picture. We have taken new jobs and are going to move back to the family farm….Even without suggestions on how to start from scratch at 50. Baby Steps that require Faith and slow breathing
and organized thinking. Baby Step 1….get a job. Baby Step 2 get rid of the clutter, mental and physical Baby Step 3…. Believe in ourselves Baby Step 4….Find where to live Baby Step 5….Build the Dream in pieces….and it continues. This experience doesn’t look like I thought it should and yet it gives a balance to the overall picture that is a huge blessing. Thanks so much for following your dream! You gave us a piece of our dream picture.
Cathy – Thanks for your comment and for your story!
I’m bummed that you didn’t get any comments on your dreams, but with all the dreams that get posted… that can happen. My hope is that our letter reinforcing that you took the most important step of writing down your dreams was critical!
Plus, I’m wildly proud of you that you are walking out those baby steps to make your big dream a reality!
You’re awesome!
Mitch
