Do you ever dream of writing a book?
But maybe things have gotten in the way? Work. Busy schedule. Life.
Well, Kevin Hansen had that same big dream… and it just wasn’t happening. With a full-time job, a family and a very full life… it was hard to find the time!.
And boy… is he glad he did! His first book, Secret Regrets has shot to the top of the Amazon Best Seller list. The University of Northern Iowa is already using it as assigned reading for students! He’s had over 500,000 unique hits to his website.
And he’s done all of it… while keeping his full time job… and as he’s continued to be an awesome dad and husband!
How freakishly cool is that?!
Well… are you wondering how he got it all done?
Us too!
So… I’ve scheduled some time with Kevin next week to record a podcast with him.
We’re going to sit down and talk about his original big dream and we’ll explore some of the simple things that he’s done to walk it out!
Here’s where you come in.
What questions would YOU like to ask him? Comment and let me know.
I’ll reserve some time during our conversation… just to ask him as many of YOUR questions as possible.
So… click on comment and let me know what you’d like to ask Kevin… whether it’s about his book… his process for writing it… or anything else.
Click. Comment. Question.
It’s that simple!
Now… for those of you who haven’t heard about Kevin… I want to offer more info so you can check him out!
Here’s a video for the book launch…
Here’s a comment about the book posted on Amazon about the book…
Secret Regrets is a great read that can be relevant to anyone! The book is compiled of regrets by real people who posted on the online blog. Also in the book, are the comments left by others giving support and love to those in pain. The book is intense. It is real. The comments of encouragement are uplifting and give hope. Even if you don’t believe you live your life with regret, you will find yourself in many of these passages. I recommend to anyone, of all ages, all walks of life.
That’s it.
Comment and ask your question.
And… keep dreaming BIG,
Mitch

Hey Mitch – this sounds awesome! I’m curious what process an author goes through – especially on the first book. What kind of planning do you do for a book like this? Do you just sit down and start writing or is there a ton of planning and a strong methodology to it? I’d love to hear Kevin’s thoughts on this. Thanks!
How do you go about find a publisher? Do you need references? Do you have to prepare and send a portion of the book to them? How can you get noticed by them when so many are sending things in?
Interesting post, over the last few months I have got into blogging… You could call it training for my own book!
Hi Mitch,
It’s so great to see that peoples’ dreams really do come true! I’d like to first congratulate Kevin on publishing his book! In addition, I’d like to ask Kevin how he prioritized his busy schedule to fit in writing time & how long the process took. Lastly, what helpful tips does Kevin have for aspiring authors? Looking forward to the podcast, Mitch!
Thanks for posting!
How do you figure out all of the legal/IP protections? For you… and for the people who are sharing ideas on your blog?
