Barb has a BIG dream... and she's inviting the world to celebrate with her!

The newest BIG dream that we get to share involves a birthday party... it helps some people in need... AND you are invited! 

It's called BARBaPalooZa!

Okay... so here's the BIG dream:

Barb Magee (a heart-disease survivor) is turning 48 in August... and she's so excited that she's throwing a party!

She's rented out the Nollan plaza downtown Des Moines for Saturday, 8/09/08!

She's got jugglers, musicians, drill and drum corps and a DJ for a lil' dancing! 

Plus, she has free hot dogs and sno kones for the first 500 guests!  (That's right!)

The only thing you need to do is bring 8 items (canned goods, etc.) to donate to the DMARC Food Bank and New Directions Shelter!  (Gift cards work too!)

That's it! 

Then you can party hardy with Barbie.  (Sorry... it's "Barb," but I got carried away!)

Seriously... it's Barb's BIG dream to have some fun on her birthday AND be able to deliver 1,600 + items to DMARC and New Directions! 

How cool is that?  Plus, as you listen to the podcast, you will really hear how this isn't about Barb... but instead... it's about helping others out!

Here's how you can help.

Well... first of all... you can help spread the word... you can come... and bring some friends!

Second... She's asking for some prayers for help!

Third... she's going to need some volunteers to help out at the event.

Fourth... although she's almost done, she'd love to have the help of someone who has a BIG dream of being an event planner.  She just wants "to have another set of eyes" look at the plans for the event!

Lastly... She'd love some input on discounts for the food, etc.  Again, she's footing the bill, but she wants to spread her dollars as far as they will go!

So... help Barb out.

This is going to be a FUN way to celebrate... help some people out... and make one of Barb's BIG dreams come true!
